Learn how to create an under construction sign.. In this tutorial we will use Pen, Marquee tools and other effects.

1. Create a new document in Photoshop of any size (I have used 300 / 200 px) and fill with #59595b color using Paint Bucket tool.

2. Now create a shape as shown using Polygonal Lasso Tool and fill the selection with #000000 color on a new layer. Press Ctrl + D to deselect.

3. Repeat the above step to create the leg of the stand and fill the selection with #a3a3d6 on a new layer.

4. To add the shadow to the leg select the area as shown below and fill with #000000 on a new layer.

5. Create a shape as shown using the Polygonal Lasso Tool above all and fill with #ffae00 color on a new layer.

6. Go to Select > Modify > Contract and apply the option as shown. Fill the selection with #ff8a00 color on a new layer.

7. Again with the same tool create a shape as shown below and fill the selection with #ffb500 color on a new layer. Press Ctrl + D to deselect, then set the layer Opacity = 40% and Blending Mode = Overlay.

8. Now with Polygonal Lasso tool create a shape on the left side of the stand as shown and fill the selection with #000000 color on a new layer.

9. Using the same tool, create a shape on the top of the new black shape and fill the selection with White color.

10. Repeat the above steps to add two more shapes to your canvas.

11. Create a shape as show using the Polygonal Lasso tool and fill the selection with #000000 color on a new layer.

12. Using the same tool to create a shape as shown and fill with #ff2626 color on a new layer.

13. Repeat the step using the same tool to get the effect as shown on the picture.

14. Duplicate the whole shape and place it on the right hand of the stand.

15. Create a triangle using Polygonal Lasso tool and fill the selection with #ff2626 color. Duplicate the layer several time and place as shown below.

16. Repeat the above step for the other light of the stand. Your finished image should look something like this.
